The obvious solution is to remove that pesky accent from the name. Poh-kay-mon will now be pronounced as Poh-kee-mon. We predict a 35% revenue increase after this change goes live”.

Will Fans Miss The Iconic Symbol?

The Pokémon accent is an important part of the franchise’s history, but it is a necessary change. Some history deserves to stay in the past. A series is not defined by its name, and Pokémon should be able to reach new heights without the historic accent. Disgruntled fans have spoken out about the change.
