The latest downloadable content for Pokemon Sword and Shield added a great new feature. Dynamax Adventures allow the player and three allies to dwelve deep into a cavern full of gigantimax Pokemon. If players can reach the end of the gautlet without their team losing four Pokemon, then they have the opportunity to fight and then catch a legendary Pokemon. While this sounds fun, there is a huge social issue no one is discussing. The online community of Dynamax Adventures is toxic. Unfortunately, this new features comes with some troubling behavior from the players. There are some players who purposely troll and attack their teammates. This can cause players to miss out on legendary Pokemon, and also waste a ton of their time.

Why Would Players Attack Their Own Teammates?

Some of these players have likely already caught the legendary they are facing off against. This would increase the odds of a player throwing the fight, resulting in friendly fire occurring. Other players might just be full time trolls, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the battle. It is nearly impossible to not get attacked by your teammate. I did seven Dynamax Adventures yesterday, and I was attacked every single time. I am not sure what I did to deserve this.

Is It Possible You Deserve Being Attacked?

It is unlikely that I deserve this attacks. I am a great teammate, and I always put my team before myself. Dynamax Adventures require great planning and Pokemon type coordinating in order to defeat the legendary. More often than not, I selflessly claim any Pokemon along the way. I do this so that I can take on the legendary and win for my team. I cannot imagine anyone getting upset over this. Who wants an alolan dugtrio? I will even claim one of these creatures if it will help against the legendary. Trusting one of my less intelligent teammates to take the Pokemon we need in order to win is risky. I often just take every useful Pokemon so that I can secure our victory. I consider myself a martyr for taking one for the team.

What Are Your Over All Thoughts On Dynamax Adventures?

I am still a huge fan of Dynamax Adventures. Additionally, I even believe that team killing is hilarious now. I intend on trying it out for myself tonight. Team killing could bring a whole new type of gameplay to pokemon, and while it is an elephant in the room worth addressing, I accept it with open arms.
