Bring Me The Horizon Accused Of Stealing From Limp Bizkit AGAIN

Bring Me The Horizon? More like Bring Me The Bizkit. The band cannot seem to stop stealing content from Limp Bizkit. This time Bring Me The Horizon is being accused of taking a vocal melody from Fred Durst. The song in question is called “Kingslayer”. The original vocal run from Limp Bizkit can be found in their renown hit “Rollin'”.

Why Is Bring Me The Horizon Being Accused Of Stealing From Limp Bizkit?

The new Bring Me The Horizon EP “POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR” released last weekend. We did a track-by-track review of the album. One thing we forgot to note was that the track “Kingslayer” has many similarities to Limp Bizkits “Rollin'”. While Kingslayer is very different in style than anything Limp Bizkit has ever done, the resemblance is there. While the delivery is very different, it seems that Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes has been listening to too much Limp Bizkit. Fans believe that the vocalist may have utilized one of Fred Durst’s vocal lines.

Kingslayer Vs. Rollin’

In Kingslayer, Vocalist Oli Sykes delivers the crushing lines “get the fuck up, wake the fuck up, wipe the system and back the fuck up. ” Upon reading the lyrics out as presented, it is almost guaranteed you read it in Fred Durst’s iconic voice. This is because fans have pointed out that this line sounds eerily similar to “Rollin'”. In the track, Fred Durst’s brutally spits out “So where the fuck you at punk? Shut the fuck up, and back the fuck up, before we fuck this track up“. The flow is nearly exactly the same. While Fred Durst masterfully raps the lines with an aggressive rasp, Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes death screams the line. The style is different, but the resemblance of the melody is uncanny. Limp Bizkit fans are not happy about the similarities found in “Kingslayer”. No one knows if the band was merely referencing Limp Bizkit, or trying to pass the vocal run off as one their own.

Fans have also pointed out that Kingslayer also features a breakdown. Limp Bizkit made breakdowns popular in the 90’s. Their smashing song “Breakstuff” features a brutal breakdown, which only adds to the similarities between Limp Bizkit and Bring Me The Horizon. Check out the breakdown below.

When Was The First Time Bring Me The Horizon Was Accused Of Stealing From Limp Bizkit?

Bring Me The Horizon had an eerily Limp Bizkitesque riff featured in their last album. Their album “AMO” featured the song “Wonderful Life”. The track is a bouncy nu-metal track and also second promotional single for the album. The whole track sounds like it was written for Limp Bizkit, and people noticed. One would think Bring Me The Horizon would avoid any chance of being compared to Limp Bizkit here on out, but supposedly they did not. You can check out the song below and listen for yourself whether or not you hear the influence of Limp Bizkit.
