They are a canine native to North America. Coyotes are smaller than wolves, and often flee at the site of a Human. Their diet consists of deer, rabbits, other rodents, and even some reptiles and fish. Coyotes are quite cowardly, and people often have a negative opinion of the animal. This has caused the animal to be portrayed as a criminal or deceptive in fiction. Coyotes have a decently small body size. Most coyotes fall within the range of 18 to 40 pounds. This is about the range of a small to medium dog. Their coats are often gray, and their tails are typically bushy.
