Ash Pikachu Evolves

Pikachu has been a mainstay in the series since the first episode. Pikachu has remained his middle form throughout the series, and only briefly has the evolution been mentioned. The plot has called for Pikachu to evolve before, but the protagonists always pull through without the evolution. When Pikachu evolves, it will change the face of the franchise forever. The new Pokemon Journeys anime will show that Ash’s Pikachu finally evolves. Most fans seem outraged by the news, but Raichu fans are ecstatic.

Pikachu is a frustrating Pokemon, who’s appearance alone can irritated parents around the world. If Pikachu evolves, parents won’t have to hear his painful “Pikachu” screen ever again. This is a smart move on the part of the Pokemon Company. By changing the face of the franchise, you change the bad parts of the franchise. Rebirthing the protagonist’s Pokemon is the best way to distance the current series from the 12 mediocre seasons since the Indigo League.

So Why Will Ash’s Pikachu Finally Evolve Now?

Ash’s Pikachu evolves after 24 years of television content. There has always been many reasons for Pikachu to evolve. Raichu is an orange badass that could make a Dragonite cry in fear. It is no question to any real Pokemon fan, that evolving Pikachu is the best thing to do. Pikachu is so generic, and it will be nice to see less of the measly weakling. The synopsis of the show seems to suggest that Pikachu will evolve to his much cooler form in order to get laid. A female Pikachu is not impressed with another lame Pikachu, and she prefers to have a sexy Raichu as her man candy.

Pokemon Sun and Moon brought Raichu to new heights of popularity thanks to Alolan Raichu. The new electric/psychic surfer was beloved, and was featured on many teams throughout the game. With Raichu finally getting some attention, it is possible he will launch into stardom. As a Raichu fan, this is exciting. Raichu could go on to appear in Super Smash Bros, Pokken Tournament, and other forms of media.

Has Pikachu Over Stayed His Welcome?

Yes, it is true. Pikachu has long over stayed his welcome. Ideally Pikachu would have evolved after the fifth or sixth gym in the Indigo League, but Ash loves to lose tournaments and championship matches all the same. Pikachu wasn’t even holding an eviolite, which can make middle form Pokemon incredibly powerful. Ash altogether is just a bad Pokemon trainer. The new series aims to change this. In Pokemon Journeys Ash is actually a pretty solid trainer. Can you imagine Ash with a Dragonite and a Raichu? His team is already getting more and more powerful. Soon Ash’s team will actually look like a fitting team for a champion competitor. No more Bulbasaurs and Pikachus in the championship match.
