Rise Against Announces New Album TUCK FRUMP

Rise Against, just days before the election, chose a highly impactful moment to announce this album. Rise Against is an outspoken, politically driven punk rock band. Their messages are usually liberal in nature. They are antiwar and have spoken out against the Bush and Trump administrations. Continuing this ideology, they announced their newest album. Titled “TUCK FRUMP,” it’s pretty clear what the message is behind this one. Frontman Tim McIlrath has been hinting at new music in the works, and now we finally get a taste.

TUCK FRUMP Tracklist

The title of this album is just the beginning of how political it really is. One song, titled “ACAB,” reflects their opinion on police brutality and the ongoing riots. “United Dystopia of America” is another example of their distaste for this country’s current state. This new Rise Against album isn’t afraid to dive into some of the darkest conspiracies. “Epstein and the Candy Van” is all about the Jeffery Epstein, his island, and the conspiracies behind it. Clearly this new album is made to shock listeners and open their eyes.

Other Rock Bands

Rise Against and other punk bands, such as Rage Against the Machine and MDC, have been vocal with their disapproval of Donald Trump and his administration. MDC released an album in 2017 titled “Mein Trumpf” and Tom Morello has commented many times criticizing the current president. In 2017, there was even an Anti Trump punk music festival.

Punk rock has always been anti-establishment. With growing distrust in government, punk music is resonating more with the masses than it has in many years. With Rise Against’s last album released in 2017 and an acoustic album in 2018, it seems that Rise Against have been working on “TUCK FRUMP” for almost 3 years. Many artists, especially with the new hurdles since lockdown, have been struggling releasing new material. We hope that Rise against will drop this album soon and not hit any blocks.
