Bee Movie 2: The R-Rated Edgy Sequel Has A Divorced Barry Turn To A Life Of Crime

After years of social media hype for the movie, the buzz is officially back! The beloved children’s classic “Bee Movie” is getting an edgy and highly anticipated R-rated sequel. In this new film, Barry B. Benson (voiced by Jerry Seinfeld) is no longer the happy-go-lucky bee we all know and love. The sequel is titled “Bee Movie 2: Get Stung“, and the edginess is evident just by the title.

After his divorce from his human wife Vanessa (voiced by Renee Zellweger), Barry has fallen into a deep depression. Vanessa, who was fed up with Barry’s lack of commitment to their relationship, took their children and left him alone in their hive.

Barry, filled with rage and resentment, has turned to a life of crime. He now spends his days robbing other bees of their honey and causing chaos in the hive. His former best friend Adam (voiced by Matthew Broderick) is now a detective, tasked with bringing Barry to justice.

The movie also features a new character, a stern and no-nonsense bee named Sting (voiced by Brian Cranston). Sting runs a secret underground honey-distilling operation and becomes an unlikely ally to Barry in his quest for revenge against Vanessa.

The critically-acclaimed actor brings some serious star power to Bee Movie 2, and social media has responded positively to the casting news.

Fans can expect plenty of violence, drama, and dark humor in this highly anticipated sequel. Bee Movie 2: Get Stung is set to hit theaters summer 2023.
