Local man Tim Hardman of Irvine, California was arrested for enjoying his turkey. Has the United States government finally gone too far? Some people believe that the extreme measures enforced by the government have gone to far. Additionally. many even say that the current restrictions are unconstitutional. Several citizens have sarcastically celebrated Thanksgiving early. They disguise Thanksgiving dinner as a “funeral for a pet turkey”, and make very similar jokes across the board. While most of these jokes are harmless best, and simply unfunny at worst, the consequences were heavy for Tim Hardman. Tim was victim to a Thanksgiving arrest.

Did He Have Too Many Guests?

Ironically enough Tim was completely alone. The party of one was interrupted at the Irvine Regional Park after an anonymous tipster alerted the authorities of Tim’s reckless behavior. The individuals that have thrown “turkey funerals” often have dozens of guests, yet no consequences ever seem to occur. Tim must have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Was Tim Wearing A Mask And Practicing Social Distancing?

Reports suggest that Tim was wearing his mask the whole time. He came alone with only a blanket and picnic basket in hand. There are no reports of him coming near anyone or poorly practicing social distancing. This is a sure sign that the government is enforcing the current lockdown rules very heavily. While it is not wise to have a Thanksgiving picnic during a pandemic, Tim should have been protected by his constitutional rights to do as he pleases.

Should I Be Worried About Being Arrested This Thanksgiving?

If you don’t want to end up like Tim, it would be wise to keep your Thanksgiving plans on the down-low. Additionally, avoid being seen in public with a turkey. If no one knows the event is occurring other than the guests, no one could possibly report you to the police. Tim taught us a valuable lesson. If you want to enjoy a turkey, be sure to do so in your own home. If you were thinking of having sex with a turkey in public, hopefully Tim’s story will encourage you to hold off until after the lockdown ends.
