Taste

We tried fish, carnitas, and beef tacos, as well as the jalapeno poppers. The fish tacos were good, but it didn’t top the scales. The beef tacos were flavorful but the texture reminded me of burnt beard hair. I’m not sure if this is a negative or not. The carnitas were the best. These are the best carnitas tacos I’ve had. They were juicy with pico, cabbage, cotija, and a savory crema. I would return for these tacos alone. The jalapeno poppers left a lot to be desired. But who needs poppers when you can get this carnitas taco? My stomach is happy and my taste buds are singing.

Price

Taco Mesa’s Taco Tuesday deal is the BEST. DEAL. EVER. Atleast the greatest we’ve come across so far. These premium tacos are only $1.95 a piece. How could you beat that? Their margarita deal is also $4. Also an unbeatable price. However, their horchata was a bit pricy. It was surprisingly more expensive than their mixed beverages. Not sure what this suggests for the quality of either drink.

Ambience

Taco Mesa has beautiful Day of the Dead murals painted on the walls. The visuals were incredible and the staff was nice. If I was able to dine in here with Mexican music and a margarita pitcher, it would’ve been perfect. Even though I took the food to go and ate at home, I have to give high remarks to their ambience.

Toot Power

God damn my body is fighting back. My stomach is churning and air is escaping out of my mouth and my behind. I wish every taco Tuesday gave me these feelings of ecstasy. This is the first time a Taco Tuesday will continue into a Taco Wednesday. The fiesta in my body can’t stop.

Butthole Burn

I am actively writing on the porcelain throne. I am planted on the toilet with no end in sight. The pain is exquisite and I savor every second of it. My family has been listening to my screams from outside the bathroom. They’re currently knocking asking if I am still conscience. I have never felt more alive.

Taco Mesa Final Score

This restaurant did not disappoint on Taco Tuesday. Between delicious food and the powerful effects it has on your body, Taco Mesa is fantastic and definitely deserves a green card. This is the highest ranking to date. However, we won’t stop until we find a perfect 100.
