Spider-Man: Homeward Bound Officially Announced By Sony

The officially title for the highly anticipated Spider-Man 3 is finally here. Sony has announced ‘Spider-Man: Homeward Bound’. The film hits theaters December 22nd, and it takes place several months after ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. The second installment of the “highschool trilogy” ended with a major cliffhanger. The world has been anxiously waiting to see the fallout and consequences from the last movie, and ‘Homeward Bound’ paints a great picture of what that could be. Will we see Kraven the Hunter hunt down Peter Parker? Will Peter have difficulties making it back home? The title could mean anything. The film saw many delays, but now it is finally almost here.

Why Is The Movie Called Spider-Man: Homeward Bound?

The title makes a ton of sense. Peter Parker’s identity was previously revealed to the world, which means Peter likely had to get out of town. The film takes place Christmas following the summer “vacation” Peter went on in ‘Far From Home’. It is likely that Peter is trying to make it home to see his friends and family (Just Aunt May I guess) for the Holidays. If the movie takes a darker turn and showcases Peter navigating through a world that wants him prosecuted for the death of Quinton Beck, then the title is very fitting. It will be a difficult journey home for Peter, and we can’t wait to watch. He might even need help from a few familiar friends.

So For Reals, It Is Named After A Movie About Animals?

Spider-Man is a movie about animals. Is this really surprising? He is a SPIDER man. Most people don’t recognize insects or arachnids as animals, but they are. The title makes a ton of sense if you think of it like that. Additionally, Kraven the Hunter could be a villain hunting Spider-Man in this film. Homeward Bound would be a perfect title for a film featuring the animalistic Kraven. We are totally on board with Spider-Man: Homeward Bound. Before ‘Homeward Bound’was revealed as the title, the cast pranked fans on social media with fake movie titles such as ‘Spider-Man: Phone Home’, and ‘Spider-Man: Homewrecker’.
