Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill, Should You RodriGO Here For Taco Tuesday?

Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill is a full service chain with several locations in Southern California. We happened to go to the location in Fullerton, CA. Based on 5 objective measurements, below is our official score for Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill. Should Rodrigo’s be your Taco Tuesday destination?

Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill, Is It the RodriGo-To Taco Tuesday?

Taste

These burritos tickled my taste buds. I got the Ultimate Burrito Chimi-style, while Dr. Williams got his Ultimate Burrito tortilla-style. They probably have a larger menu than just the Ultimate Burrito, but why would you order anything else? The name itself implies it is the best item on the menu. What sounds tastier, the “Ultimate” Burrito, or the Flautas? What even is a flauta? Anyways, this food was incredible. The burrito had huge flavor. Great meat, a little bit of spice, melted cheese and guacamole on top. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Price

The price was respectable. You get a lot of food for you money. However, it still felt a little steep. $15 for a burrito, with no sides, is difficult to justify. Although the burrito is delicious and large, some sides would be appreciated.

Ambience

The ambience in the restaurant was pretty awkward. Unfortunately, due to the make-shift patio dining, we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful aesthetics of the restaurants interior. This has given a temporarily lower score to the ambience. We had patio seating, and there were a couple groups sitting near us as well. Since it was election night, tension were high. Some families were decked in their MAGA hats, while others were wearing their “Vote Blue No Matter Who” shirts. The Republican supporters were clearly extra uncomfortable dining in Mexican restaurant, while the Democrats were too busy trying to speak broken Spanglish to their servers. It ruined the ambience for me.

Toot Power

The toot power is through the roof with this Taco Tuesday. Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill is one of the best fuels for your anus. If you’re looking for a gassy symphony, this is the spot for you. I have practically sharted writing this review. The burps and farts are coagulating inside my gastrointestinal tract, and I could be happier. This is the feeling you’re supposed to get after an authentic Taco Tuesday. We have been taking shots of Tequila throughout dinner, so that might contribute to the ongoing battle with our stomachs. Regardless, this is all part of a traditional Taco Tuesday experience.

Butthole Burn

After going to the bathroom, things were wet and wild. Tequila and the burrito seemed to join forces to loosen my colon and wreck my rectum. This is the best Tuesday I’ve had in years. Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill has nailed this category.

Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill Final Score

This restaurant did not disappoint on Taco Tuesday. Between delicious food and the powerful effects it has on your body, Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill is fantastic.
