Corey Taylor is a man who needs no introduction (if you are 40 years old that think heavy music peaked in 1999). While the Slipknot frontman is best known for his hit memoir ‘But What Do I Think?’, he is also known for wearing masks to make each era of the band. This era of Slipknot will be no different. Fans did not have to wait long for an album this time. The follow-up to Slipknot’s 2019 album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ is nearly here. Due to the quarantine lockdown, the band was able to stay busy and produce a ton of content. The band has not revealed when the new songs will debut, but Corey Taylor isn’t letting that stop him from debuting his new mask. Thousands of eye-witnesses have reported the singer walking around showcasing his horrifying new mask in public. Is this Corey Taylor’s new mask?

Why The Hell Is Corey Taylor Wearing A Shrek Mask?

This time Corey Taylor wanted to ensure that his mask was absolutely horrifying. The ‘Psychosocial’ singer told famous sculptor Glen Hanz, most famous for creating the gorgeous looks seen in the 2004 flick ‘White Chicks’ that he needed a mask so scary, it would scare children. Hanz, being a creator of absolute horrifying looks in the past, was up for the task. Corey Taylor explained that he wanted a “Michael Myers inspired mask”. Hanz was stuck between two options. Should the mask convey Michael Myers appearance from ‘Shrek’ or ‘The Cat in the Hat’. While the later is defined as the stuff of nightmares, the sculptor decided to craft the new mask off of the appearance of Shrek the Ogre.

The mask is bound to scare children, but what does Corey Taylor think? Corey Taylor reportedly was confused when he first saw the mask, and calmly explained that there seemed to be some confusion regarding his request. The mask quickly grew on Taylor, and he embraced the mask full-heartedly.

Corey Taylor is the front man of Slipknot, Stone Sour, and he even wrote and released a memoir recently. Slipknot is one of the biggest bands in metal, and helped launch nu-metal to the mainstream back in the late 90’s. This all led to him having the greatest opinions of all time. The man cannot be wrong. If something exists, Corey has something to say about it. There is nothing more metal than having an opinion.

The collaboration of a life time is here. The American government will be teaming up with Michael Myers. The cross over is happening in hopes of keeping American citizens on lockdown. Only the bravest of the brave would dare go out this Halloween. The story follows the news that Halloween is canceled this year. Some critics call the move unconstitutional, while others call the move “fun and scary”. It is unknown how this will go down tonight, but it sure sounds terrifying.

Who Is Michael Myers?

Michael Myers is no government official. He is the dreaded killer from the Halloween franchise. The Captain Kirk cosplayer intends to run around on Halloween night and scare people back into lockdown. If you resist his initial scare, he might just execute you. The methods seem harsh, but authorities say it is in line with the standards set for law enforcement. Sounds like Michael Myers is free to roam the streets tonight.

If Halloween Is Canceled, Can I Still Get Candy?

Anyone interested in candy can still have candy. All major retailers will still be selling bags of candy. If you want free candy though, you will have to test your luck and go against Michael Myers. Free candy isn’t worth dying though, so we would recommend staying indoors this evening.

What Happens If I Come Across Michael Myers?

If you end up going outside anyways, and you come across Michael Myers, then Stop, drop, and roll. Public service announcements across the United States are raising awareness for the stop, drop, and roll technique. Michael Myers is crafty. but he is not as elusive as a surprise roll. The killer is more likely to go after a different victim, one who is not embarrassingly rolling all over the floor. Regardless, it is unsafe to even try to celebrate Halloween this year. Not unless you want Michael Myers to show up.
