Comic-Con Virtual, Higher Ticket Prices than Ever

Comic-Con Virtual

COVID-19’s rampage on America brings the country to a new low. Comic-Con, the beloved yearly pop culture extravaganza, has announced the convention will be fully online. Comic-Con Virtual

These new expensive tickets do come with some perks. Each Comic-Con Virtual attendee will be give a coupon for 2 free corn dogs from Weinerschnitzel. Furthermore, only participating locations accept these coupons, and exclusions may apply. Nonetheless, this perk is hard to pass up. In addition to this coupon, each ticket buyer enters into a raffle to win a “Holiday Santa Joker Funko Pop.” This is truly incredible.

Workshops and Panels

Workshops and panels will be fully digital with attendees being able to watch and participate from their home. Many of Comic-Con’s regular attendees are ecstatic about this change, as Comic-Con weekend is the only 4 days of the year they are forced to leave their home. Other attendees are furious about the steep increase. “I love SmallVille, but I can’t afford to see the SmallVille Reunion Panel. These sick bastards will pay,” says one SmallVille fanatic.

No one knows how this decision will shape the future of this beloved pop culture staple. After this year, will Comic-Con return to its physical state, or is this a new era for pop culture? Only time will tell how fans will adapt. Nonetheless, the fate of comics, anime, video games, Marvel, DC, and Disney are in the hands of Comic-Con Virtual.

Update:

Comic-Con 2020 was a success. Having no fan boys cosplaying really made the event much better. Fans were able to watch remotely and engage themselves in the announcements and the content more than ever. Less distractions were great for Comic-Con. It is possible that Comic-Con will stay remote forever, as the event is sick of being taken over by over zealous cosplayers.
